ZigBee and 802.15.4 Systems
Wireless is big in San Diego and we have accumulated diverse experience with ZigBee and other 802.15.4 based communication systems. Our specialty is the development of proprietary systems that use the ZigBee protocol to form mesh networks performing custom functions.
Our proven customized stack uses TI's line of 802.15.4 radios. Their diverse line helps us develop code quickly with great flexibility to interface directly with PCs, Ethernet ports, phone modems or other attached devices. Additionally, we have the ability to directly interface with cell networks for remote applications. Our partner, GPSit, offers backend support with their servers for access to cell networks.
We exclusively use the Texas Instruments Chipcon line of processors for our 802.15.4 RF work and have designed and built numerous PCBAs using TI's RF technology. Many of these designs are through FCC.
Features and Benefits of our System
- Radios are modular with either 0 dB or 20 dB designs available.
- FW is quick and easy to modify for custom applications lowering development costs. FW development can be a major cost. Our system greatly reduces this effort.
- Standardized interface between radio link and attached devices.
- Over the air upload of code to radios and attached devices built in.
- Ability to remotely configure any device on the system off-site via Internet, cell connection, phone modem or an attached PC.
- Easy to maintain application FW because the applications layer is outside of the ZigBee stack. This eases the task of FW development and sustaining engineering.
