Product Design Engineering Services—That is What We Do
Expertise Engineering is a product design and engineering firm for the medical, consumer, commercial and industrial markets. We can complement your in-house design engineering staff or you can outsource your engineering project to us. Expertise Engineering has an in-house staff of 10 engineers and for 15 years has been helping large and small companies with their product development needs.
Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design
Our team of five mechanical engineers has CAD design experience in plastics, injection molding, casting, sheet metal, composites, packaging, machine design, automation, mechatronic, pneumatics, and welding. Our experience with component simulation (FEM), thermal analysis, heat transfer, acoustic analysis, fluid mechanics and regulatory compliance helps get the job done.
Electrical, FW, and SW Engineering
Our team of five electrical engineers offers a full set of electrical engineering design capabilities including hardware, layout, software, firmware, documentation and test. Recent projects have included power supplies, 2.4 GHz 802.15.4 radios, 900 MHz radios, embedded designs using various microprocessors, battery chargers, and sensors of all sorts. We have well developed abilities in ZigBee systems including the hardware, FW, and backend SW.
Facilities and equipment
We have a new 5,000 square foot facility including a 2000 square foot lab and manufacturing area suitable for testing and prototype assembly. Around the corner is a fully equiped machine shop with CNC mills and lathes, welding, and sheet metal capability. Located in Sorrento Valley near UCSD, we are surrounded by complimentary businesses such as machine shops, platers, PCBA fabrication and contract manufacturers, testing and compliance services, and injection molders to name a few.
